Who charges the most for LBS apps
Distimo report
Paid location-based apps for Blackberry cost almost twice as much as Apple's paid LBS apps. This is one of the findings in a report by Distimo, in conjunction with Skyhook Wireless, on the top downloads and pricing trends from the leading app stores.

The report analyses LBS apps from the Apple App Store, RIM App World (for Blackberry) and Google's Android Market. It was found that the average price of a paid LBS app for Blackberry is $14.37, compared with $7.34 for Apple.

Apple, which has by far the largest app store, also has the highest proportion of paid LBS apps - 57%, compared with 49% at RIM and 21% at Android Market.

The introduction of the free Google Maps Navigation hasn't affected the average price of apps for Apple or Android phones.
