A new, free app from UPS for iPhone lets users manage shipments, whether or not the user has a ups.com account.
The app, UPS Mobile, also uses the GPS in the iPhone 3G series to help users find a nearby service point.
UPS Mobile is designed for users to easily manage shipments on the go. It can track and nickname shipments, create shipping labels, find UPS service locations via GPS, and estimate shipment costs and delivery times.
Without logging in, users can track shipments, find UPS locations and receive cost and delivery time estimates. Users who do log in are also able to nickname shipments, view recent tracks from ups.com, create shipping labels to email and print for US domestic or US-to-international document shipments, access the personal ups.com address book and use saved shipping and payment preferences.
