Medl Software has released a mobile shopping app, Mall Maps - You Are Here, to coincide with the holiday shopping season.
Mall Maps, an iPhone app, offers location-based mall searching as well as manual entry of your zip code and selection of a mileage radius for extended searches. The database for Mall Maps contains more than 1,000 malls across all 50 US states - that's 100,000 stores.
The user interface is designed to be sleek and functional, delivering the required information with a couple of quick touches or finger swipes. When you've selected the mall you want you can add it to favourites for easy future access.
The search results include the mall's website, main number, store list and the floor plan for the entire mall. The maps are much the same as the ones on display in the malls.
Users can submit unlisted malls through Twitter, Facebook or email for inclusion in the database.
