International SOS to use iFind Mobile
International SOS air ambulance
FindWhere has licensed its iFind Mobile solution to International SOS, the world's leading provider of medical assistance, international healthcare, security services and outsourced customer care.

International SOS employs more than 6,000 professionals operating in 70 countries. It has been prominent in rendering medical assistance and evacuating injured victims of the devastating Haiti earthquake.

FindWhere provides mobile phone-centric security and safety services including iFind Mobile, which is controlled through a web-based tracking panel and network operating centre but can be installed on any GPS-enabled GSM phone. The app can identify someone's location instantly via their mobile phone.

Additional features of iFind Mobile enable the recovery of a misplaced or stolen phone as well as enhanced security of data stored on the phone.

FindWhere CEO and founder Jaap Groot commented: "The licensing of iFind Mobile to International SOS and the integration of our managed services, using a standard XML API, to their Incident Management Centre is a perfect example of advanced location-based services. We expect these types of safety and security-centric solutions on mobile phones to become widely embraced since they provide real value when needed and have minimal impact on the phone's everyday functions."
